So..... Hardywood Brewery, known for it's craft beer, distinctive amongst breweries, has two large, somewhat innocuous, metal warehouse buildings, side by side. One houses the brewery, the other the tasting rooms or taproom and storage. Between the two buildings, which are about 40' apart, is an existing bocce ball court. Hardywood needs to connect the two buildings with a sheltered passageway. As architects, we are to explore what that sheltered passageway could be, other than an enclosure to allow their forklift to transport material out of the weather. Our schematic design prepared using Sketch-up is below. We hope it adds character, brand awareness, functionality, and a great place to enjoy craft beer!
